WhiteLabelUSV

AIS software

Available for evaluation & licensing

Know which vessels
are around you.

Turn AIS receiver messages into supervised vessel-target information for navigation, remote operator tools and overlays.

Illustrative maritime operating context

Module guide

What it receives. What your systems receive.

What it is
Traffic information for navigation, AIS overlays and fleet applications.
Core input
AIS messages from a receiver, including NMEA input.
Core output
Supervised vessel-target state, with freshness and confidence information.
Simulation / real integration
SIM / REAL-compatible behaviour supports evaluation with sample inputs and receiver data.

Where it sits

A defined interface inside your vessel system.

  1. 01

    AIS receiver

AIS messages from a receiver, including NMEA input.

  2. 02

    WhiteLabelUSV AIS

The module’s processing and supervision layer.

  3. 03

    Navigation, overlays & fleet systems

Supervised vessel-target state, with freshness and confidence information.

The truth-sayer layer

Receiving a message is only the beginning.

Malformed sentences, stale targets and uneven updates can leave downstream systems working with incomplete information. WhiteLabelUSV AIS adds validation, freshness supervision and target confidence between the receiver and your application.

Core capabilities

  • Deterministic AIS processing
  • Confidence scoring per vessel target
  • Smooth dead-reckoning
  • Malformed-data handling
  • Stale-target supervision
  • SIM / REAL-compatible behaviour
  • Heartbeat and restart supervision
  • Integration-ready vessel outputs

Integration example

If a target stops updating, stale-target supervision and dead-reckoning become relevant. Your consuming application must interpret the available confidence and freshness information.

Evaluate your integration

Start with the actual interface.

Prepare
Share your receiver model, input transport, sample messages and required output format. Evaluation should include stale targets, malformed input and interrupted feeds.
Confirm
Supported formats and transports, runtime and deployment requirements, output contract and any hardware-adapter work.
Test
Normal operation, invalid or stale inputs where applicable, interrupted connections and the required recovery behaviour.
Agree before production
Commercial licensing, integration responsibilities and acceptance criteria for the complete system.

AIS questions

Before you evaluate.

Does this replace an AIS receiver?

No. The module processes input from a receiver or evaluation source; it is a software layer.

What happens when AIS updates stop?

The module includes stale-target supervision and smooth dead-reckoning through dropouts. Review the applicable settings and confidence behaviour in the evaluation documentation.

What does confidence mean?

It gives downstream software additional context for interpreting vessel-target state. Review the documented scoring method and thresholds before using it in decision logic.

Does AIS alone provide collision avoidance?

No. AIS target information is one input to a wider awareness or navigation system. Collision-avoidance capability is outside the claim made for this module.
