Existing-vessel retrofits · Remote operation

Your existing vessel.
Controlled remotely.

Retrofit your existing vessel for remote throttle and steering control. Operate from shore or wherever your operator can connect to the vessel.

Start with what is onboard

Keep the vessel. Change how you operate it.

Bring remote control to the vessel you already know.

We assess propulsion, steering, sensors and onboard controls, then connect the systems needed for remote operation. Suitable existing equipment can stay.

Choose the software and hardware you need from us. We scope the integration around the systems you want to keep.

Beyond the onboard helm

Your operator doesn’t have to be onboard.

Operate from a shore station or another connected location. We design the vessel-side control and communications integration around your operating location and workflow.

01 / Control

Command vessel movement

Remote throttle and steering through the selected control interfaces.

02 / Context

Bring vessel data ashore

Position, traffic and other available sensor information through the chosen modules.

03 / Connection

Reach the vessel

The communications link, coverage and vessel configuration determine operating reach.

A practical pathway

Progress in defined stages.

Assess what can stay

Review your vessel, current controls and the equipment you want to retain.

Connect propulsion and steering

Scope control interfaces, required hardware and the software needed to command vessel movement.

Define the remote connection

Choose the operator location, communications approach, coverage and link-loss behaviour.

Validate the operating setup

Test control, feedback and recovery with the actual vessel before operational use.

Useful for the first discussion

Bring the vessel’s starting point.

Product questions

A few useful answers.

Can we control the vessel from anywhere?

Remote operation can be designed for a shore station or another connected location. The practical reach depends on the vessel’s communications system and coverage. Tell us your intended operating area so we can assess the connection and control requirements.

Can any existing vessel be converted?

Suitability depends on the vessel, control access, equipment, communications and intended operation. A vessel-specific assessment is needed; universal retrofit compatibility is not assumed.

Can we keep existing equipment?

Suitable equipment may be retained when its interfaces can support the required integration. Share models and interface details for assessment.

Can we progress in stages?

Yes, the integration can be scoped around defined stages, starting with data and control needs. Each operating capability still depends on the complete system and validation.

Physical integration

Control hardware. Available separately.

Use suitable existing equipment or choose our control hardware. Hardware and software can be supplied separately, with integration scoped around your vessel.
